suddenly i'm martha stewart

Apparently I will do anything to postpone homework because I have taken to cooking today. (And believe me, I don't cook.) So far I have cheffed up something magical in my crock pot, then I made applesauce... home made you should know.  I know, pretty impressive. After having a bowl mixed with cottage cheese, I think it's officially time to hit the book.
This morning I had the most glorious bowl of oatmeal.
.5 cup oats
.5 cup almond milk
.5 cup water
2 TBSP raisin
1 TBSP brown sugar
.5 cup canned pumpkin

YUUUUMMMM. It held me over for a long time and I actually wasn't even hungry for the applesauce but I couldn't resist. SEE, this is part of the problem.

At least the bloating has gone down.

Its Saturday and I have chosen to relax all day when really there is TONS of work to be done. I have become OBSESSED with reading blogs--specifically ones about running, eating (obviously) and everything food. I feel like keeping a public journal can be such a helpful tool--so I want to commit myself to it. For 13 years I have been totally out of control with food: eating too little, too much, etc, etc. I have tried EVERY diet in the book. And I mean every diet. I last maybe two days before I quit.  I'm pretty positive that my own wallet built the Weight Watchers empire into what it is today. I just want to eat like a normal person....is that too hard to ask???? Apparently so. So here I go (again) to figure it all out. My goal is to eat a balanced diet of whole foods and back off the sweets. My friends know about the serious damage I can do when there are baked goods around. Watch out people, I am no joke.
